ATTENTION

The American Legion Department of Maryland has adopted a standardized Constitutio and By-Laws for use by all Posts in Maryland.  This document was effective July 17, 2019.  In addition, this Post has formulated "Standing Rules" governing items local and unique to Post 206.  These are to be approved by the membership at large not later than the beginning of September.

REMNDER:

 

                      All persons must wear face coverings while at the Post, except while seated at the bar of a table, and social distancing of at least 6 feet must be maintained.

 

At long last, the Post will reopen on Friday, July 3, 2020.  There will be limitations in accordance with governmental COVID-19 rules:

  • Masks will be worn by staff waiting on the public.
  • Social distancing will be maintained
  • Masks must be worn by patrons while playing the Bingo machines.
  • Seating will be limited (for distancing reasons)
  • Maximum cpacity will be at 50%.
  • Kitchen will be closed until fall of 2020 or when remodeling project is complete, whichever is later.

No dinners until fall.

Post Hours will be reduced to:

Monday - Thursday:  NOON to 9:00 PM

Friday - Saturday:  NOON to 10:00 PM

Sunday:  NOON to 9:00 PM

  • To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America;

  • to foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism;

  • to preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in all wars;

  • to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation;

  • to combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses;

  • to make right the master of might;

  • to promote peace and good will on earth;

  • to safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy;

  • to consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.
