POST ELECTIONS WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAAY. MAY 19, 2023 FROM 1 PM TO 7 PM. SEE THE BALLOT
Note mon the Election :
At our second nominations meeting held at the Post on May 5, 2023, the vote to approve changing our Post Standing Rules to increase our at large Executive Committee membership from four to six was not allowed by the American Legion Constitution and By-Laws. The issue was that the second nominations meeting was a “Special Membership” meeting convened for that purpose only. A subsequent review of past executive committee and membership minutes determined the standing rules that were approved by the membership on August 8, 2020 are still in force. Those Sanding Rules only allow for four (4) at large executive committee positions. Two nominees withdrew from consideration. The ballot for this year was amended to reflect their withdrawal and the remaining at large nominees will compete for four (4) positions authorized by the August 8, 2020 standing rules. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Commander.
