Effective in the first week of March.

PROPOSED ENTRY CHANGES

Legionnaires, The Executive Committee met on February 13 th and proposes the following changes:

  1. All doors exterior will be locked except for public events. Patio pit door may be open while cleaning
    and maintenance but must be closed by 12PM and electronic access will be used.
  2. The access reader will be moved to the top of the upstairs door at the top of the upper parking lot. The
    entry through that door will only be available for Post 206 members, i.e. Legionnaires, Sons and
    Auxiliary, who have electronic access. All other access will be via the lower-level entrance door in to the
    dining area.
  3. If Post 206 members have a guest(s) they must sign them in regardless of which door they enter.
    As a general rule, members can only sign in three adult guests. Exceptions are made for family who are
    visiting and at an Executive Committee member’s discretion. Members are responsible for their guests.
    If the member departs the Post premises, the guest(s) must leave or another member must sign them in.
  4. The glass doors between the bar and the dining area will be electronic access only in the following
    circumstances:
    A. During pool league nights
    B. At 7 PM after dinners that are open to the public
    C. When public events are in the dining room
    D. When public or private upstairs events pose a potential for non-member access.
    Bartenders and Executive committee members are responsible to lock those doors.
  5. Failure to adhere to these procedures by Post members will have consequences regarding their access
    to the Post.
    Verbiage for the signs on the upper parking lot door:

“WELCOME TO POST 206

To ensure the safety of our Post members and guests please follow these entry procedures:

  1. Post 206 members and their guests may enter using electronic access. If members have
    guest(s) they are responsible to sign them in.
  2. All others, please use the lower-level entrance.

PREMISES UNDER VIDEO SURVEILLANCE”

On nights when dinner is served and other events that are open to the public, there will be a sign that
covers the above sign that that reads:

“WELCOME TO POST 206
This entrance is OPEN.”

Envision a magnetic sign to cover the normal operations sign above. Putting up and taking down this
cover is the responsibility of the group hosting the event.

  1. Effective Dates: First week in March
    For a trial period, on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 PM to closing a Legion member will be at or near
    the entry door to ensure members have a current membership card and guests are signed in.
